Cavalos na Areia – Horses in the Sand

Join Cavalos na Areia for a memorable horseback ride through the landscapes of Comporta. After a short introduction, you'll get to connect with your horse and learn the basic riding commands—stop, go, left, and right—before setting off on the trail.

The route takes you past the region's iconic rice fields, along the outskirts of the village, through pine forests and sandy dunes, all the way to the stunning white beaches and turquoise Atlantic Ocean.

Alpaca Farm – Meet and Feed

Escape into the heart of inland Alentejo and discover a hidden alpaca farm surrounded by vast open landscapes that feel surprisingly similar to the African savannah—golden grasslands, scattered cork oaks, and endless horizons stretching as far as the eye can see.

During your visit, you'll meet and feed the farm's friendly alpacas while learning about their unique characteristics, origins, and behavior. You'll also get to know the other animals that call the farm home, including donkeys, goats, and free-roaming wild horses, each with their own story and personality.

Surf with Luara & Juninho

Surfing has become something of a flagship activity at deepset offsites—and this year it returns better than ever.

For the first time, we'll be joined by a female surf instructor: former World Surf League Top 10 surfer Luara Thompson from Brazil. Together with her life and business partner, professional surfer Juninho Malta, she runs Kailua Surfing, known for its supportive, personalized coaching and focus on helping every surfer progress while having fun.

Whether you've never stood on a surfboard before or already have experience in the waves, the sessions are designed for all levels. Beginners will learn the fundamentals and catch their first waves, while more experienced surfers will receive tailored coaching to refine their technique.

With world-class instructors and the Atlantic as your playground, it's the perfect way to challenge yourself, have fun, and experience one of Portugal's most iconic sports.

Wine Tasting at Herdade da Comporta

Discover the wines of Herdade da Comporta, one of Portugal's most exciting wine estates, set in a stunning location overlooking Comporta's iconic rice fields. During this experience, you'll visit the winery's barrel house and learn about the winemaking process behind its award-winning wines, from grape to bottle.

The tour concludes with a guided tasting of the estate's premium wines, paired with local specialties such as traditional Alentejo sourdough bread and high-quality olive oil.
